Senior
executives of Ethiopost have conducted an official visit to the Ethiopian
Artificial Intelligence Institute, signaling growing interest in the
application of advanced technologies within Ethiopia’s public service sector.
During
the visit, the Institute’s Director of Communications, Tesfaye Zewde, provided
the delegation with an overview of the organization’s strategic priorities and
ongoing initiatives. The briefing highlighted a range of innovative technology
solutions currently under development, with a particular focus on artificial
intelligence-driven services.

Ethiopost’s
Chief Executive Officer, Dagmawi Haileye, expressed appreciation for the
technological advancements presented, describing the Institute’s work as both
commendable and reflective of the country’s digital progress. He noted that the
developments showcased represent a source of national pride and align with
Ethiopost’s broader modernization objectives.
Executives
were introduced to several AI-enabled solutions considered relevant to postal
and logistics operations. These demonstrations emphasized potential
applications designed to enhance operational efficiency, improve service
delivery, and support future strategic initiatives within Ethiopost.

The
engagement also established a framework for prospective collaboration between
Ethiopost and the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute, as both
institutions explore opportunities to leverage emerging technologies in
strengthening Ethiopia’s digital transformation agenda.
