Burkina Faso S.A has been awarded the National Prize for Culture, Arts and
Letters during activities held under the Bobo 2026 Cultural and Artistic Autumn
initiative. The distinction was presented on Friday, February 20, by Pingdwendé
Gilbert Ouédraogo, Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism of
Burkina Faso.
The
recognition forms part of the Bobo 2026 programme initiated by the National
Confederation of Culture (CNC), which seeks to promote artistic expression and
strengthen the country’s cultural ecosystem. Officials noted that the award
acknowledges Orange Burkina Faso’s sustained engagement in supporting cultural
creation, heritage preservation, and artistic development.

Company
representatives described the honour as a reaffirmation of the operator’s
commitment to collaborating with cultural institutions and stakeholders. Orange
Burkina Faso indicated that it would continue investing in initiatives aimed at
promoting Burkina Faso’s cultural identity both domestically and
internationally.
The
National Prize for Culture, Arts and Letters is one of the country’s formal
recognitions for contributions to the advancement of culture and the creative
industries.
