Sierra Leone hosted a strategic meeting on February 20, 2026, bringing together
key stakeholders involved in the Sierra Leone Digital Transformation Project.
The engagement, held at the company’s headquarters, was led by Orange Sierra
Leone’s Chief Executive Officer, Aicha Toure.

The meeting was attended by the Project Coordinator of
the Sierra Leone Digital Transformation Project from the Ministry of Communication, Technology and Innovation,
Kumba Lilian Musa, alongside members of
the World Bank Mission Team and officials
from the Ministry.
Discussions centered on updating
Orange Sierra Leone’s management on the project’s feasibility study and its
implementation framework. Participants also examined potential partnerships
aimed at strengthening connectivity and advancing the country’s digital
economy, with Orange Sierra Leone identified as a key partner in supporting the
project’s digitalization objectives.

The Sierra Leone Digital
Transformation Project is designed to enhance digital infrastructure, expand
access to technology, and promote inclusive participation in the digital
economy.

Sierra Leone reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with government
institutions and development partners to accelerate digital inclusion, empower
citizens, and contribute to sustainable socio-economic development through
technology-driven initiatives.
