The
Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Raafat Hendy has witnessed
the signing of commercial agreements between the National Telecom Regulatory
Authority (NTRA), Telecom Egypt, and e& Egypt, aimed at boosting investment
and enhancing mobile service quality in the country.

The
agreements, signed by NTRA Executive President Mohamed Shamroukh, Telecom Egypt
Managing Director and CEO Tamer El Mahdi, and e& Egypt CEO Hazem Metwally,
are intended to attract both national and international investment while
keeping pace with technological advancements in the mobile industry.
In
his remarks, Hendy emphasized that the agreements demonstrate the Ministry’s
commitment to addressing challenges faced by ICT investors and fostering
collaboration among telecom companies, aligning with Egypt’s broader strategy
to advance Digital Egypt.

He
commended NTRA for facilitating the agreements and praised the cooperation of
both companies in bringing the deals to fruition. The agreements are expected
to strengthen the telecom sector, encourage further investment, and support
ongoing improvements in Egypt’s digital infrastructure and services.
