MTN
Group is participating in the 2026 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona,
highlighting its focus on artificial intelligence, digital inclusion and
financial inclusion.
The
company’s Group President and Chief Executive Officer, Ralph Mupita, opened
MTN’s engagement at the event by taking part in and chairing board discussions
of the GSMA.

MTN
is showcasing its initiatives at its inaugural Africa Pavilion exhibition stand
located in Hall 4 at the congress. Company representatives said the pavilion
reflects MTN’s commitment to advancing connectivity and digital services across
the continent.
Senior
executives are expected to participate in panel discussions during the event,
addressing topics related to AI, digital transformation and expanding access to
financial services.
Mobile
World Congress, one of the telecommunications industry’s largest global
gatherings, is taking place in Barcelona and brings together mobile operators,
technology providers, policymakers and industry stakeholders from around the
world.
