MTN
Uganda’s mobile money arm, MoMo, has officially opened new office premises,
marking a significant step in its efforts to strengthen employee wellbeing and
foster a more collaborative working environment.
The
opening ceremony brought together key stakeholders, including Board Chair
Sylvia Mulinge, board members Rachel Dumba, Simon Rutega, and Andrew John
Bugembe, as well as Acting Chief Executive Officer Sarah Bateta Okwi and
members of the leadership team. The event underscored the collective effort and
shared commitment that contributed to the realization of the new facility.

According
to the company, the new office space has been deliberately designed with a
strong focus on staff experience, prioritizing wellbeing, productivity, and
collaboration. The layout and environment aim to support employees in
delivering their best work while also encouraging interaction, professional
growth, and a sense of community.
MoMo
indicated that the investment in the new offices reflects a broader strategy
that places employees at the centre of its operations. The company noted that
creating a supportive and enabling workplace is essential to sustaining high
performance and delivering value to customers and partners.

The
development comes as MTN Uganda continues to expand its digital financial
services footprint, with MoMo playing a central role in driving financial
inclusion and innovation across the country.
