The Office of the Data
Protection Commissioner (ODPC) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting
regulatory frameworks that protect personal data while enabling innovation and
improved public service delivery.
Data Commissioner Immaculate
Kassait attended the 3rd Annual Regulatory Authorities and Agencies Conference
held at South Eastern Kenya University (SEKU) in Kwa Vonza, Kitui County, where
regulators and government agencies gathered to discuss strategies for enhancing
service delivery and optimizing government processes.

The three-day conference
focused on how regulatory institutions can provide faster, fairer, and more
responsive services while maintaining integrity, consistency, and public trust
in regulatory systems.
Discussions during the
conference examined the role of regulators in improving operational efficiency
and strengthening public confidence through transparent and accountable
governance processes.

The ODPC said it remains
committed to advancing policies and frameworks that balance data protection
requirements with the growing demand for digital innovation and service
improvement across public institutions in Kenya.
