The talks took place during
a courtesy visit by Denmark’s Tech Ambassador, Anne Marie Engtoft Meldgaard, to
Kenya’s Principal Secretary for the State Department for Science, Research and
Innovation, Prof. Shaukat Abdulrazak.

According to Prof.
Abdulrazak, the engagement focused on opportunities for collaboration in
artificial intelligence governance, cybersecurity, research capacity building,
innovation ecosystems, talent development and the responsible deployment of
frontier technologies.
The discussions also
explored how strategic international partnerships can support Kenya’s efforts
to accelerate its digital and knowledge economy agenda while leveraging
science, technology and innovation to drive sustainable development and
economic growth.
Prof. Abdulrazak noted that
Denmark’s experience in tech diplomacy offers valuable lessons as Kenya
advances policies and initiatives aimed at strengthening digital transformation
and global competitiveness.

The meeting further
highlighted the importance of ethical and people-centered innovation in
ensuring that emerging technologies contribute to inclusive development and
shared prosperity.
Kenya continues to position
science, research and digital innovation as key pillars of its national
