Johannesburg, South Africa - MTN
subscribers in South Africa can now enjoy the operator’s latest 5G network on a
spanking brand new 5G router introduced to the market by MTN South Africa.
Officially
launched on 30th June 2021, MTN joined Vodacom and Rain in
providing 5G network services to internet lovers in South Africa.
Although
not everyone in SA was able to access the MTN 5G services following its
commercial launch seven months ago, it’s believed that with the introduction of
the new 5G router, customers across South Africa will enjoy the fastest
connectivity, 5G brings.
Customers
couldn’t hide their excitement as the Chief Executive Officer at MTN South
Africa, Charles Molapisi, displayed a new MTN 5G Router photo on his personal
social media platform, LinkedIn.
The
5G network is undoubtedly the fastest and newest mobile network technology with
speed ten times faster than 4G and eventually becoming a hundred times faster,
and 5G is changing the way people work and play.
To
connect to the mobile 5G, subscribers will need a smartphone that supports 5G
connectivity.
5G
home Wi-Fi will support an average speed of 100Mbps, with maximum speeds of
500Mbps. Meanwhile, the 5G mobile plan will have an average rate of 50Mbps,
with a top speed of 500Mbps.
