Côte d’Ivoire has reaffirmed
its ambition to significantly expand the contribution of the digital sector to
its national economy as part of its broader development strategy presented at
the Africa CEO Forum in Kigali.
Minister of Digital Transition
and Technological Innovation, Djibril Ouattara joined senior government
officials and industry leaders at the forum alongside the Ivorian delegation
led by Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.

Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé
Gilles Beugré stated that
the country’s National Development Plan 2026–2030 places digital transformation
at the centre of economic growth, with a target to increase the sector’s
contribution to GDP from 6 percent to 15 percent by 2030.
According to Beugré, this
objective will be pursued through seven strategic pillars aimed at
strengthening digital infrastructure, expanding access to services and
accelerating innovation across sectors.
The National Agency for
Universal Telecommunications Services (ANSUT) outlined its operational
priorities, which include extending connectivity to underserved areas, reducing
the territorial digital divide, improving access to digital devices and ensuring
inclusive participation in the digital economy.

The delegation also included
officials from the Ministries of Planning and Development, Industry and Trade,
as well as representatives from CEPICI and BNEDT, reflecting a coordinated
national approach to digital development.
Beugré emphasized that
digital technology remains a cross-cutting driver of economic transformation
and a key enabler of broader socio-economic development across Côte d’Ivoire.
The Africa CEO Forum
continues to serve as a platform for African leaders to engage on investment,
innovation and policy direction aimed at accelerating continental economic
integration and digital growth.
