Nestlé has renewed its
partnership between the Nestlé Research and Development Center for Sub-Saharan
Africa and Nangui Abrogoua University as part of efforts to strengthen
scientific research, innovation and food safety in the region.
The collaboration, which
began in 2018, focuses on building stronger links between academia and industry
while supporting research and skills development in Côte d’Ivoire.

According to Nestlé, the
partnership has contributed to the provision of laboratory equipment, support
for doctoral research through scholarships and the recruitment of graduates
into professional opportunities within the company.
During the renewal
engagement, the Nestlé delegation visited facilities at Nangui Abrogoua
University to assess the impact of the collaboration on strengthening academic
and research capacity.

The company stated that the
initiative aligns with its needs YOUth programme, which seeks to empower young
people through practical learning opportunities and improved access to
professional experience.
Nestlé noted that the
continued partnership forms part of broader efforts to support scientific
excellence, innovation ecosystems and sustainable development across
Sub-Saharan Africa.
