Kigali is set to host the
Nuclear Energy Innovation Summit for Africa (NEISA 2026), bringing together
Heads of State, government officials, and international experts to discuss the
future of nuclear energy development on the continent.
The summit, scheduled to run
from May 18 to 21, comes shortly after the Africa CEO Forum, which convened
senior political leaders, chief executives, and global investors in the Rwandan
capital.
The upcoming NEISA 2026 is
expected to focus on advancing dialogue around nuclear energy innovation,
policy frameworks, and investment opportunities aimed at supporting Africa’s
long-term energy security and industrial development.
Organisers say the gathering
will provide a platform for high-level engagement on how nuclear energy can
contribute to addressing Africa’s growing energy demand while supporting
economic transformation and technological advancement.
The event underscores
Kigali’s growing role as a convening hub for major continental and global
discussions on development, innovation, and strategic infrastructure planning.
