Rwanda’s
Ministry of ICT and Innovation has announced a call for applications for the
Zayed Sustainability Prize, inviting startups and small and medium-sized
enterprises developing innovative solutions in key sustainability sectors to
apply.
The
initiative targets impact-driven businesses and innovators working across
health, food, energy, water, and climate action, with a focus on technologies
and scalable solutions that improve livelihoods and contribute to sustainable
development.
According
to the Ministry, the opportunity is aimed at supporting startups and SMEs that
are leveraging innovation to address pressing social and environmental
challenges while creating measurable impact within communities.
Selected
applicants stand to gain international recognition, funding opportunities, and
additional support to help scale their innovations and expand their reach
globally.
The
Ministry encouraged entrepreneurs and innovators in Rwanda and across the
region to apply and position their solutions on the global stage as part of
broader efforts to promote technology-driven sustainable development.
The
Zayed Sustainability Prize is internationally recognized for supporting
pioneering solutions and initiatives that advance sustainability and improve
quality of life across different sectors worldwide.
