The Communications
Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) is taking part in the 27th Ordinary Session of the African
Telecommunications Union (ATU) Administrative Council in Cape Town, South
Africa, where member states are engaging on key telecommunications and ICT
policy issues aimed at advancing Africa’s digital transformation agenda.
The session brings together
representatives from across the continent to deliberate on strategic frameworks
intended to strengthen regional cooperation, improve connectivity, and
accelerate inclusive digital development.
Namibia is represented at
the meeting by Ms. Ronel Le Grange, Technical Advisor to the CEO; Ms. Maria
Moses, Executive for Finance and Administration; and Mr. Mufaro Nesongano,
Executive for Communication and Consumer Relations.
Officials say Namibia’s
participation underscores its continued commitment to collaborative
policymaking at the continental level, as well as its focus on regional
integration in the ICT sector.
The discussions are expected
to contribute to broader efforts by African states to harmonize
telecommunications policies and support sustainable digital growth across the
continent.
