MTN Cameroon has launched
its “Empathy Marathon” initiative as the broader MTN Group celebrates reaching
300 million subscribers across Africa.
The initiative was
officially launched by MTN Cameroon Chief Executive Officer Wanda Matandela
together with members of the company’s Executive Committee.

According to the company,
the campaign is aimed at reinforcing its commitment to customer engagement,
empathy and human-centred connectivity across the continent.
MTN Cameroon said the
milestone represents more than subscriber growth, describing it as a reflection
of millions of African stories connected through one network and a shared
vision of advancing digital inclusion and stronger human connections.
The company noted that the
Empathy Marathon would focus on listening to customers, understanding their
experiences and strengthening relationships through improved engagement and
service delivery.

The initiative also aligns
with MTN’s broader brand message centred on care, connection and digital
empowerment as the telecommunications group continues expanding its footprint
and services across Africa.
MTN Group remains one of
Africa’s leading telecommunications operators, providing mobile, data, fintech
and digital services to millions of subscribers in several markets across the
continent.
