Namibia ICT Minister visits MultiChoice to strengthen sector collaboration

Namibia’s Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Emma Theofelus, has paid a courtesy visit to the headquarters of MultiChoice to formally introduce the newly appointed Deputy Minister, Wenzel Kavaka, who joined the Ministry on 2 April 2026.

The visit formed part of ongoing engagements between the Ministry and stakeholders within the information and communication technology sector aimed at strengthening collaboration and supporting industry growth.

During the meeting, discussions focused on MultiChoice’s operations and ways in which the Ministry’s leadership can continue to promote a conducive environment for innovation and business development within the ICT sector.

Hon. Theofelus emphasised the importance of sustained cooperation between the Ministry and MultiChoice, noting that continued collaboration would contribute to advancing the country’s communications and digital development agenda.

The engagement also provided an opportunity for both parties to exchange views on the evolving ICT landscape and the role of partnerships in supporting sector growth and technological advancement in Namibia.

The visit concluded with an interactive session involving staff members, followed by a tour of MultiChoice’s offices.
