Nigeria
is advancing efforts to modernize its public service through a new partnership
between fintech company Flutterwave and the Office of the Head of the Civil
Service of the Federation aimed at strengthening digital capabilities across
government institutions.
The
collaboration will see the deployment of Flutterwave’s financial technology
solutions to support improved payment systems, operational efficiency, and
broader digital service delivery within the civil service.

Founder
and Chief Executive Officer of Flutterwave, Olugbenga Agboola, said the
initiative reflects the importance of alignment between the public and private
sectors in building Nigeria’s digital future.
As
part of the partnership, civil servants will benefit from training and
upskilling programmes in areas including data analytics and cyber awareness,
alongside mentorship and knowledge-sharing initiatives designed to strengthen
institutional capacity.

The
collaboration is positioned as a long-term effort to build stronger public
institutions, enhance digital service delivery, and equip government personnel
with the tools required for a more connected and efficient public sector.
Officials
say the initiative forms part of broader national efforts to accelerate digital
transformation within government operations and improve service delivery
through technology-driven solutions.
