Nigeria
and Poland have held high-level discussions aimed at deepening bilateral
cooperation in the digital economy, with a focus on infrastructure development,
connectivity expansion, and investment opportunities.
The
meeting brought together Nigeria’s Minister of Communications, Innovation and
Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, and a Polish delegation led by Deputy Prime
Minister and Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski, alongside
Poland’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Michal Cygan.

Discussions
centered on strengthening collaboration in key areas including digital
infrastructure deployment, fibre connectivity expansion, and investment
frameworks linked to Poland’s Project BRIDGE initiative.
Both
sides also explored broader opportunities for partnership to support Nigeria’s
ongoing digital transformation agenda, with emphasis on leveraging technology
to drive economic growth, innovation, and shared prosperity.

Officials
noted that enhanced cooperation between both countries could support improved
digital access, encourage private sector participation, and accelerate the
development of resilient digital infrastructure across Nigeria.
