China Mobile International wins top prize at 2026 BRICS Industrial Innovation Contest

China Mobile International Limited has won first prize at the 2026 BRICS Industrial Innovation Contest, following recognition for its artificial intelligence-driven industrial innovation project focused on semiconductor manufacturing.

The award was announced during the 2026 BRICS Forum on New Industrial Revolution Partnership, which officially opened on May 27 and attracted participants from across the BRICS member countries and global industrial technology sectors.

China Mobile International submitted a project titled “Industrial Data and AI-Driven Holistic Intelligent Innovation Applications for Semiconductor Manufacturing Lighthouse Factories.” According to the company, the project outperformed 1,428 entries from around the world, securing first place in both the selection stage and the final competition round.

The company said the recognition reflects its growing capabilities in artificial intelligence research and development, industrial digital integration, and the delivery of technology solutions for global markets.

China Mobile International noted that the award also demonstrates the company’s long-term strategic investment in AI technologies and its continued expansion within the industrial internet sector. The project combined industrial data analysis, intelligent applications, and digital technologies designed to improve operational efficiency and innovation within semiconductor manufacturing environments.

The company indicated that it plans to further strengthen independent technological innovation while accelerating the integration of digital technologies with industrial operations. It added that future efforts will focus on supporting high-quality industrial modernization through intelligent and data-driven solutions.

The BRICS Industrial Innovation Contest forms part of broader efforts under the BRICS cooperation framework to promote industrial transformation, digital innovation, and collaboration among emerging economies.
