MTN Mobile Money Zambia has
officially commenced construction of the grand prize house for its Wina Nyumba
na MoMo promotion, marking a major milestone in the company’s customer reward
campaign.
The groundbreaking ceremony
signals the next phase of the initiative, which is aimed at rewarding customers
for using the MoMo platform for everyday financial transactions, including
deposits, bill payments, and merchant services.
Speaking during the event,
Chief Executive Officer of MTN Mobile Money Zambia, Komba Malukutila, said the
construction of the house demonstrates the company’s commitment to delivering
meaningful and tangible value to customers.

According to the company,
customers who transact through the MoMo ecosystem are automatically entered
into the promotion for a chance to win the fully constructed modern home. Users
of the new MoMo application receive double entries into the draw.
The event was attended by
Yande Mwenye, who commended the initiative and described it as a reflection of
MTN MoMo’s efforts to create positive social impact within communities.
As part of the campaign, MTN
MoMo has partnered with several companies to support the construction and
enhance the final prize package. Chilanga Cement Plc is contributing 200 bags
of cement toward the project, while Micmar Zambia is providing a cash contribution
of K100,000 to support the eventual winner’s transition into the new home.

In addition to the grand
prize house, the campaign is distributing monthly cash prizes totaling K5
million to participating customers.
MTN MoMo said the initiative
highlights how digital financial services can be leveraged to create long-term
benefits for communities while encouraging broader adoption of digital payment
solutions across Zambia.
