The Secretary
of State for the Budget, Juciene Cristiano de Sousa has conducted a working
visit to the National Space Programme Management Office, accompanied by the
National Director of the Budget, Edilásio Caleia, and the Director General of
the Information and Communication Technology Service of Public Finance of
Angola, Edílson Coelho.
The delegation
was received by GGPEN Director General Zolana João, who presented the office’s
products and services under the National Space Programme. Highlights included
the capabilities of the ANGOSAT-2 satellite, the Conecta Angola project, and
Earth observation products that use high-resolution satellite images,
artificial intelligence, and geospatial data for infrastructure monitoring,
asset management, and land use mapping.
The Secretary
of State congratulated the young Angolans involved in developing the
programme’s products and services and encouraged them to continue their work.
GGPEN has
developed solutions using space technology and artificial intelligence to
support key sectors of the national economy, including banking and finance, in
digital transformation processes as well as asset management and control.
