Smart Africa has held
high-level discussions with Algeria's Minister of Posts and Telecommunications,
H.E. Sid Ali Zerrouki, focusing on advancing artificial intelligence adoption,
digital integration and innovation across Africa.
The engagement, held in
Geneva, brought together Smart Africa Chief Executive Officer Lacina Koné and
the Algerian minister to discuss progress under the Africa AI Council and
Algeria's participation in the Smart Market Initiative.
The discussions highlighted
the importance of coordinated efforts to accelerate the adoption of artificial
intelligence technologies across the continent while strengthening
collaboration among African countries in building inclusive digital ecosystems.
Smart Africa said the
meeting reaffirmed a shared commitment to leveraging AI, digital transformation
and innovation as key drivers of Africa's economic development and
technological advancement.
The engagement forms part of
Smart Africa's ongoing efforts to build partnerships with governments and
stakeholders to support continental digital integration and promote the
development of emerging technologies across African markets.
