The MTN Congo Foundation has
signed a new partnership agreement with the World Health Organization (WHO) in
the Republic of the Congo to strengthen collaboration on initiatives aimed at
improving equitable access to healthcare.
The agreement was formalised
during a meeting between the Foundation’s Executive Director, Vanessa T., and
the WHO Regional Representative in Congo, Dr. Dossou Vincent Sodjinou, along
with members of his team.
The discussions reaffirmed
the shared commitment of both organisations to work together in supporting
community-focused health programmes and expanding access to essential
healthcare services across the country.
During the meeting, the MTN
Congo Foundation presented a symbolic trophy to the WHO Regional Representative
in recognition of the achievements of the partnership and the joint commitment
to improving the well-being of communities.
The newly signed agreement
marks the beginning of a new phase of cooperation, with both organisations
pledging to implement initiatives designed to deliver lasting social impact
through improved healthcare access.
The MTN Congo Foundation
said the strengthened partnership reflects its continued commitment to
supporting sustainable health interventions that contribute to the country's
social and economic development while advancing the goal of healthcare for all.
