The Rwanda ICT Chamber has continued the Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship Testbed Workshop with a practical testing session designed to help education technology innovators improve the accessibility, inclusiveness and usability of their digital products.

The second day of the workshop brought together teachers, students, software developers and other stakeholders to interact directly with products and platforms developed by the first cohort of Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellows.

Participants conducted live usability tests, allowing them to assess how effectively the solutions respond to the needs of different learners and users. The exercise also provided an opportunity to identify potential barriers that could affect users' ability to access or navigate the platforms.

Through direct interaction with the products, testers provided real-time feedback on features that worked well, areas requiring improvement and aspects that could be made more user-friendly.

The Rwanda ICT Chamber said the practical engagement is providing Fellows with valuable insights that can be used to refine their solutions based on actual user experiences rather than relying solely on assumptions about user needs.

The testbed workshop forms part of efforts to strengthen Rwanda's education technology ecosystem by supporting innovators to develop digital solutions that are responsive to the diverse needs of learners and educators.
