Congo Telecom has hosted the
Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and Digital Economy, Frédéric NZE, for
discussions on the development of the telecommunications sector and the
company’s contribution to Congo’s digital transformation.
The minister visited Congo
Telecom’s headquarters in Brazzaville, where he was received by the company’s
Chief Executive Officer, Yves Castanou, and members of the management team.
The working visit focused on
key issues shaping the country’s telecommunications sector, as well as Congo
Telecom’s development prospects and its role in supporting the national digital
economy.
Discussions highlighted the
strategic importance of telecommunications infrastructure to economic
development, digital inclusion and the competitiveness of the Republic of
Congo.
The minister’s engagement
with the company’s management also underscored the government’s interest in
developing a high-performing and innovative telecommunications sector capable
of supporting the country’s digital ambitions.
Congo Telecom reaffirmed its
commitment to working with the government and other stakeholders to expand
connectivity, strengthen digital infrastructure and contribute to the
development of a more competitive digital economy.
