Rwanda’s digital public
service platform, Irembo, has hosted a series of engagements with African institutions and students to share experiences on digital transformation, public service delivery, and the development of high-performing institutions.
The engagements brought
together a delegation from Société des Eaux de Guinée (SEG), the Ambassador of
the Republic of the Congo, Smart Africa, the Rwanda DPI Centre and students
from the African School of Governance (ASG).
The delegation from SEG
visited Irembo to exchange perspectives on Rwanda’s digital public service
journey and explore how technology can make essential services more accessible
and responsive.
Irembo also hosted the
Ambassador of the Republic of the Congo for discussions on Rwanda’s digital
transformation and the role of technology in strengthening public service
delivery.
As part of its engagement
with the wider digital ecosystem, Irembo joined Smart Africa and the Rwanda DPI
Centre for a workshop on digital public infrastructure, focusing on the
challenges and opportunities involved in making digital public infrastructure
work across national borders.
The discussions examined the
collaboration required to advance digital transformation across Africa and
strengthen interoperability and cross-border digital services.
Irembo also welcomed
students from the African School of Governance, who visited to learn from the
organisation’s experience in developing high-performing teams, strong
institutional systems and a culture built around accountability, innovation and
results.
The engagements provided
opportunities for participants to exchange ideas and experiences on the
institutional and technological capabilities required to deliver effective
digital public services.
Irembo said the different
interactions, despite involving different stakeholders and perspectives,
reflected a shared interest in learning from one another and building stronger
institutions and digital ecosystems across Africa.
