Impact Plus has met with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Niger to advance preparations for the second edition of the Sahel Women Digital Week (SWDW), scheduled to take place from November 18 to 22, 2026, in Niamey.

The meeting was held on September 14, 2026, with the Resident Representative of UNDP Niger, Mamadou N'Daw, and his team. Discussions focused on the upcoming event and its goal of creating greater opportunities for young girls and women in the digital economy.

During the meeting, Impact Plus presented its vision, objectives and ambitions for the second edition of SWDW, which will focus on entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital technology and innovation.

Impact Plus said the discussions and recommendations from the engagement with UNDP Niger will contribute to strengthening the vision for the event and making the second edition more inclusive while expanding opportunities for young girls and women.

The organisers have announced that registration is already open for women and girls interested in developing their skills in digital technology, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and entrepreneurship.

Participation in the Sahel Women Digital Week is free, providing an opportunity for young girls and women to gain knowledge and skills in areas considered increasingly important to the region’s digital and economic development.
