Researchers from Japan’s
Nagoya University have visited the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute
to learn about its work and explore potential areas of cooperation between the
two institutions.
During the visit, Mr.
Tesfaye Zewde, Director of Communication Affairs at the Ethiopian Artificial
Intelligence Institute, outlined the institute’s activities across law
enforcement, health, agriculture and justice.
He also explained the
institute’s work on using technology to enable national languages to function
as languages for machine tools.
The visit focused on
knowledge transfer, with discussions also covering possible areas of
collaboration that the two institutions could pursue in the future.
The engagement provides an
opportunity for the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute and Nagoya
University to explore ways to exchange expertise and strengthen cooperation in
artificial intelligence research and applications.
