Zamtel Chief Executive
Officer Jason Mwanza has met with SMART Zambia E-Government Division National
Coordinator Percy Chinyama to explore areas of collaboration to support
Zambia’s national development agenda.
The discussions focused on
opportunities to leverage technology, connectivity and digital solutions to
contribute to the Grow Zambia agenda and create greater value for Zambians.
In a statement shared on
LinkedIn, Zamtel said the engagement reflected its commitment to working with
the government and key stakeholders as the country advances its digital
transformation journey.
“As Zambia advances its
digital transformation journey, Zamtel remains committed to working with
Government and key stakeholders to build an inclusive, connected and digitally
enabled Zambia,” the company said.
The meeting forms part of
efforts to explore how collaboration between the telecommunications sector and
government digital initiatives can support national development and expand the
value of digital solutions for citizens.
