The South African National
Space Agency (SANSA) and the Turkish Space Agency (TUA) have formalised a
five-year partnership to collaborate on space science, Earth observation,
technology development and capacity building.
The partnership was signed
at the 77th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2026) in Antalya,
Türkiye, according to SANSA.
Announcing the agreement,
SANSA said the partnership would provide a framework for cooperation between
the two agencies across key areas of space development.
“Signed, sealed and ready to
launch!” SANSA said in its announcement, expressing optimism about the
collaboration.
The agency added: “We look
forward to what we can achieve together.”
The agreement comes as both
agencies seek to advance cooperation in space-related research, technological
development and the strengthening of expertise and capabilities.
