The Tanzania Communications
Regulatory Authority (TCRA) hosted a delegation from the Democratic Republic of
the Congo’s Universal Service Development Fund (FDSU) for a study visit aimed
at exchanging knowledge and best practices in communications sector regulation
and development.
During the visit, the FDSU
delegation learned about Tanzania’s regulatory framework, licensing procedures
and spectrum management, while also exploring the history of communications
through a tour of the Communications Museum.
The visit formed part of
efforts to strengthen knowledge-sharing and cooperation among communications
regulatory bodies and institutions across Africa.
TCRA said it continued to
collaborate with regulatory bodies and institutions from across the continent,
including Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, Mozambique, Mali, Comoros, Zambia,
South Africa and Zimbabwe.
The authority said these
collaborations were intended to ensure that the communications sector continued
to grow and deliver quality services to citizens.
