The CEO of Vodacom Group, Shameel Joosub, and Vodacom South Africa CEO, Sitho Mdlalose, hosted the Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies, Mondli Gungubele, at Vodacom Headquarters in Midrand.

official LinkedIn platform, the primary focus of Minister Gundgubele’s visit was to engage in constructive discussions on industry-related matters and to establish robust connections with the country’s leading telecommunications companies.
The minister was taken on a tour of Vodacom’s state-of-the-art data centers which form the backbone of Vodacom’s technological infrastructure and are instrumental in ensuring network resilience and continuous energy supply.
During their engagement, Minister Gungubele delved into the priority areas of his department. The discussions spanned crucial topics such as enhancing deep rural coverage, reducing the cost of communication, and the strategic rollout of a comprehensive digital skills program.
The exchange underscored the government's commitment to extending digital access and empowerment to all corners of South Africa.
