Kenya and Friedrich Naumann Foundation sign MOU to drive infrastructural support for digital jobs

The Government
of Kenya through the State Department for Diaspora Affairs and the Friedrich
Naumann Foundation (FNF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
The signing
ceremony, held in Berlin, marks the beginning of a collaborative effort between
the two entities. The MOU outlines a framework for cooperation between the
Government and the private sector, aiming to leverage each other's strengths to
drive economic growth and development.
The partnership
will focus on several key areas, including the exchange of digital skills and
labour, research and knowledge generation, promotion of good labour practices,
skills and technology transfer, job creation, and infrastructural support for
digital jobs.
The signing was
attended by high-level officials, including Ms. Roseline Kathure Njogu,
Principal Secretary of the State Department for Diaspora Affairs, Prof.
Karl-Heinz Paqué, Board Chair of the Friedrich-Naumann-Foundation, H.E
President William Ruto, Ph.D, Hon. Dr. Musalia Mudavadi, PCS and CS Foreign and
Diaspora Affairs, and other senior Government and Kenyan Embassy in Berlin
officials.
This strategic
partnership is expected to open up new opportunities for Kenyans in the global
job market, promote economic partnerships, and drive innovation and growth in
the country.
