The Commercial
Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) and Visa International have agreed to take their
partnership to the next level, enhancing their collaboration to drive financial
inclusion and digital transformation in Ethiopia.
A signing
ceremony held at CBE's headquarters, witnessed Mr. Abe Sano, President of CBE,
and Mr. Chad Pollock, Vice President and Executive Director of Visa
International, East Africa, sealed the agreement.

In an address, Mr.
Sano noted the significance of the partnership, stating that it aligns with the
government's financial policy reform to facilitate international payments. He
noted that the strategic agreement would enable CBE to provide enhanced
services to its customers.
Mr. Chad
Pollock also expressed his delight with the partnership, praising CBE's
commitment to innovation. He highlighted Visa's dedication to supporting CBE's
growth and development.

The partnership
marks a significant milestone in the long-standing relationship between CBE and
Visa. Building on their 19-year collaboration, the agreement will further
elevate CBE's digital transformation journey, delivering innovative financial
products tailored to the unique needs of its customers.

Under the
leadership of Yared Endale, Country Lead at Visa, the partnership will advance
financial inclusion in the market, leveraging Visa's expertise and leadership
in the payment industry. The collaboration will support CBE's growth and
innovation, driving economic development in Ethiopia.
