MTN Cameroon welcomes Minister of Posts and Telecommunications

MTN Cameroon has welcomed a high-level delegation of government officials led by the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Minette Libom Li Likeng. Accompanying the Minister were several administrative authorities from the Littoral Region, including Governor Samuel Dieudonné Ivaha. The visit was part of an ongoing effort to assess MTN’s progress in improving its electronic communications services and addressing the key resolutions established during the sector-based consultation held on April 27, 2023.

The minister and her delegation focused on reviewing the steps MTN Cameroon has taken to enhance service delivery, particularly in relation to network quality, customer satisfaction, and infrastructure development.

As part of the visit, the government delegation was given an in-depth tour of MTN Cameroon’s Service Operations Centre (SOC). The officials were able to observe firsthand how the company monitors its network performance and service quality in real-time. The SOC provides MTN with the ability to swiftly identify and address any technical issues, ensuring that customers enjoy uninterrupted, high-quality telecommunications services.

Following the tour, Madam Libom Li Likeng commended MTN Cameroon for its unwavering dedication to improving the quality of its services. She acknowledged the company's tangible efforts to implement the recommendations that emerged from the April 2023 consultation and emphasized the importance of continued investment in network enhancements. The Minister expressed her appreciation for the measures MTN Cameroon has put in place to strengthen service reliability and urged the company to maintain its focus on further improving customer experiences.

MTN Cameroon CEO, Mitwa Ng’ambi, expressed gratitude to the government for its continuous support and guidance, reaffirming the company’s dedication to aligning with national goals and contributing to the development of the country’s digital infrastructure.
