MTN Cameroon partners Huawei to host Women in Tech (WiT) training

MTN Cameroon in
collaboration with Huawei has hosted its second Women in Tech (WiT) training aimed
at empowering women in the country’s technology sector. The workshop, titled
"Roads to Cloud Business," was designed to equip participants with
the latest insights and knowledge in cloud computing technology, ensuring they
stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
MTN Cameroon’s
Women in Tech (WiT) initiative is also aimed at bridging the gender gap in
technology and empowering women to thrive in digital careers. Through its
comprehensive five-pillar strategy, MTN continues to support, nurture, and
develop the skills of talented women, giving them the tools they need to succeed
in tech-driven roles.
In addition to
the training, MTN Cameroon is also supporting young female talents through its
NextGen STEM Program, an initiative designed to inspire the next generation of
women leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Five
university students currently enrolled in the program participated in the WiT
workshop, reinforcing MTN’s mission to drive greater inclusion and diversity
within the technology landscape.
By empowering
women with cutting-edge cloud computing skills and supporting their career
advancement, MTN Cameroon and its partners are contributing to a more
inclusive, innovative, and equitable future in the tech industry.
