PayPal, a
leading digital payments platform, has announced a strategic partnership with
Al-Futtaim Group, one of the most diversified and successful businesses in the
Middle East. This collaboration will enable customers to use PayPal at
checkouts across Al-Futtaim's portfolio of businesses, starting in the UAE
early next year.
The partnership
will allow customers visiting Al-Futtaim's online retailers, including IKEA and
Marks & Spencer, to pay seamlessly and securely using their PayPal
accounts. This integration will provide a faster and more convenient checkout
experience, reducing friction and increasing conversion rates for Al-Futtaim's
online businesses.
According to
Otto Abasi Williams, Digital Payments Executive and Strategic Partnerships at
PayPal, "Al-Futtaim is home to some of the biggest and most loved
retail brands in the world, and we're thrilled to welcome them to our global
network of merchants. We're excited to see PayPal delivering seamless, fast,
and secure checkout experiences for Al-Futtaim customers."
Paul Carey,
Executive Vice President, Product & Payments at Al-Futtaim, added, "We're
committed to providing our customers with a world-class shopping experience,
and our partnership with PayPal is a key part of this strategy. By offering
PayPal at checkout, we're giving our customers more choice, flexibility, and
convenience when shopping with us."
This
partnership underscores PayPal's commitment to expanding its presence in the
Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, where digital payments are
increasingly becoming the norm.
