Telecel
Group has issued an official statement to address and clarify recent media
reports regarding the acquisition of MTN Guinea Conakry, also known as Areeba
Guinea S.A.
The
company confirmed that while an agreement had been signed between Telecel Group
and MTN (Dubai) Limited for the acquisition of Areeba Guinea S.A., the
transaction's completion was conditional upon several key conditions precedent
(CPs). These conditions, however, were not fulfilled.

responsibilities, obligations, or liabilities related to Areeba Guinea S.A. or
its employees.
In
its statement, Telecel Group emphasized its commitment to transparency and
accuracy, urging stakeholders, the media, and the public to rely only on
official company communications for credible information regarding its
activities.
“We trust that this statement resolves any
ambiguity on the matter. Telecel Group encourages stakeholders, the media, and
the public to rely solely on official communications from the company for
accurate information,” it stated..
This
clarification aims to resolve any ambiguity surrounding the matter and ensure
that all parties involved understand the company's position regarding the
withdrawal from the acquisition of Areeba Guinea S.A.
Telecel
Group remains focused on its broader mission of delivering innovative and
customer-focused telecommunications solutions in the markets it serves,
maintaining its commitment to sustainable business practices and partnerships.
