country’s digital development at the annual MTN Global Leadership Gathering
(GLG), held on February 5, 2025, in Johannesburg, South Africa. The event,
which serves as MTN’s premier leadership platform, celebrates excellence across
its operations and sets the strategic direction for the year ahead.
At
this year’s gathering, MTN South Sudan secured four prestigious awards,
underscoring its commitment to expanding digital connectivity and enhancing
telecommunications services in the country. The company emerged as the Winner
of the Leading Connectivity Operation Award, a testament to its efforts in
strengthening network infrastructure and ensuring seamless communication
services for South Sudanese consumers. Additionally, MTN South Sudan earned the
First Runner-Up position in the Technology Second to None category, recognizing
its technological advancements and innovative solutions aimed at improving
customer experience.
Further
cementing its reputation as a key driver of digital transformation, MTN South
Sudan also placed as the Second Runner-Up in the Building the Largest and Most
Valuable Enterprise Business category, acknowledging its role in supporting
businesses with robust digital solutions. Adding to this remarkable
achievement, the company’s leadership was also celebrated, with its CEO being
named Second Runner-Up in the prestigious CEO of the Year category, an
acknowledgment of visionary leadership and strategic direction that has
propelled the company forward.
These
