The Acting Director General
of the National Communications Authority (NCA), Rev. Ing. Edmund Yirenkyi
Fianko, welcomed a delegation from Helios Towers Ghana on a courtesy visit. The
delegation, led by the company’s newly appointed Managing Director, Mr. Kwaku
Frimpong, called on the NCA to formally introduce him and extend their
congratulations to Rev. Ing. Fianko on his new role.
During the meeting, both
parties engaged in discussions on the evolving telecommunications landscape,
regulatory frameworks, and infrastructure development in Ghana. The dialogue
centered on strengthening collaboration to streamline industry processes, enhance
compliance with regulations, and foster sustainable growth within the sector.

Mr. Frimpong expressed his
enthusiasm for working closely with the NCA to align strategies that address
industry challenges. He reaffirmed Helios Towers’ commitment to supporting the
Regulator’s objectives by continuing to invest in modern telecommunications
infrastructure and adhering to best industry practices.
Rev. Ing. Fianko, in turn,
emphasized the significance of the engagement in fostering stronger cooperation
between the NCA and Helios Towers. He reiterated the Authority’s dedication to
creating a regulatory environment that encourages innovation and investment
while ensuring the provision of quality and accessible telecom services across
the country. He also commended Helios Towers for its consistent participation
in regulatory initiatives aimed at improving Ghana’s telecommunications sector.

The meeting also provided an
opportunity for the Acting Director General to introduce the Authority’s newly
appointed Deputy Director General for Technical Operations, Mr. Salifu Suleman.
He encouraged Helios Towers to collaborate closely with Mr. Suleman to further
enhance industry engagement and technical advancements.
