Kenya’s Safaricom
PLC, under the leadership of Group Chief Executive Officer Dr. Peter Ndegwa has
officially launched the third edition of its highly anticipated Decode 3.0
Engineering Summit. The three-day event, which kicked off today, brings

the latest trends, share insights, and showcase groundbreaking innovations in
the tech space.
The summit,
held in collaboration with key partners including Huawei, Dell, Oracle,
Ericsson, AWS, Redhat, Copycat, Andela, Delta, and Egypro, marks a significant
milestone in Safaricom’s journey to transform from a telecommunications company
(Telco) to a technology company (TechCo).

The Decode 3.0
Engineering Summit aligns with Safaricom’s ambitious vision to become Africa’s
leading purpose-led technology company by 2030. As the company continues to
drive its transformation, the summit serves as a platform to foster innovation,
collaboration, and creativity in the tech ecosystem.

in that journey.”
Over the next
three days, participants will engage in a series of insightful conversations,
panel discussions, and interactive sessions led by industry experts. The summit
will also feature innovative showcases, highlighting cutting-edge technologies
and solutions that have the potential to transform industries and improve

and leading the way toward a brighter digital future,” said Dr. Ndegwa. “Together, let’s continue to push boundaries,
foster creativity, and shape the future of technology in Africa and
beyond.”
