MTN Cameroon has been adjudged
the Overall Winner in the Future Fit Talent and Culture Category for 2022 at
the just-ended MTN Group Leadership Gathering held in Johannesburg, South
Africa.
The Chief Executive
Officer of MTN Cameroon, Mitwa Ng’ambi who received the trophy dedicated the award
to the entire MTN Cameroon staff who according to her have contributed immensely
to the growth of the company and its culture by making MTN the best place to
work.
This year’s MTN Global
Leadership Gathering was hosted by MTN South Africa and was attended by its 450
top-senior executives.
The coveted two-day event brought together MTN leaders from
across the continent to enable them with skills and knowledge to lead
successfully and bring out the best in their teams.
Chief Executive Officer of MTN South
Africa, Charles Molapsis, and the EXCOM team extended
a warm welcome to the MTN leaders, treating them to a night of the finest
music, art, diverse cultures, South African cuisine, and networking.
Held on the
theme:'Leading through Values' the conference aims to reinforce MTN's
values, what its stands for, and how its leaders and team players shape MTN’s
culture.
MTN Group President and
CEO Ralph Mupita addressed the MTN leaders during the Leadership Gathering.
During the highlights of
the gathering, MTN Rwanda was adjudged the Overall Winner in the
Group’s ‘Million Dollar Challenge ‘that recognizes excellence
amongst MTN companies. And its subsidiary company, Mobile Money Rwanda Ltd was
crowned the Overall Winner of the ‘Build the Largest and Most Valuable
Platforms’: Fintech award.
MTN Eswatini was also awarded the Overall
Winner for ‘Leading Customer Experience in the‘Million
Dollar Challenge’ and
became the first runner-up on the ‘Build the Largest Most Valuable Platform:
Fintech.
