The
Université Rose Dieng France-Sénégal (URDFS) and the University of Science and
Technology of Hanoi (USTH) have formalised a new academic and scientific
partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at
advancing cooperation in training, research and innovation.
The
agreement was concluded during an online signing ceremony that brought together
leadership and representatives from both institutions. The partnership was
signed under the direction of Professor Mamadou Sarr, Director General of
URDFS, and Professor Jean-Marc Lavest, Rector of USTH.

The
collaboration is designed to strengthen academic exchange and foster joint
initiatives between Senegal, France and Vietnam, leveraging the complementary
strengths of the institutions in higher education, scientific research and
innovation-driven programmes.
According
to both parties, the agreement reflects a shared commitment to building
sustainable international cooperation that enhances opportunities for students,
faculty members and researchers across the three regions.

Despite
the geographical distance between the institutions, the ceremony highlighted
strong engagement from both sides, with symbolic exchanges marking the
formalisation of the partnership.
The
universities expressed optimism that the agreement will open new pathways for
academic mobility, joint research projects and innovation-focused collaboration
in the coming years.
