ICT Authority Chief Executive Officer, Jessy Maruti has officially closed the Interim Report Validation Workshop on the Employee Engagement Survey and Skills Gap Analysis held at The Nyeri National Polytechnic, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to workforce development and digital transformation.

The workshop provided management and staff with the opportunity to review the interim findings of the report and discuss issues relating to workplace wellness, staff feedback, professional growth, teamwork and continuous learning in enhancing service delivery within the Authority.

Speaking during the closing session, Maruti commended both staff and management for their openness and active participation throughout the exercise, noting that recommendations captured in the report would be considered for implementation.

He described employees as one of the organisation’s greatest assets and indicated that management would continue to strengthen internal communication, invest in capacity development, promote diversity and inclusion, and provide the appropriate tools and working environment for employees.

According to Maruti, the report will play an important role in guiding the retooling of staff to equip them with the necessary skills required to adapt to the rapidly evolving digital work environment and improve operational effectiveness.

The engagement also reaffirmed ICT Authority’s commitment to professionalism, innovation, ethical conduct, employee wellbeing and fostering a collaborative culture that supports the Authority’s mandate and Kenya’s broader digital transformation agenda.

During the visit, Maruti, accompanied by directors attending the workshop, paid a courtesy call on Chief Principal Rachel Kimani, where discussions focused on potential areas of collaboration including digital skilling initiatives and connectivity for public institutions.

Among officials present at the workshop were Michael Odhiambo, Richard Koech and Lynette Ringeera.
