Yango Group has signed a
Memorandum of Understanding with the Rwanda Development Board to explore
opportunities for digital mobility development and technology-enabled transport
solutions in Rwanda.
The agreement establishes a
framework for collaboration focused on investment facilitation and regulatory
engagement as both parties seek to assess how digital innovation can support
the country’s transport ecosystem and broader digital economy.

Under the partnership, Yango
Group and the Rwanda Development Board will engage with relevant stakeholders
to better understand the needs of the local mobility market and identify areas
where technology-driven services can contribute to improved connectivity and

Speaking on the agreement, the
Chief Business Officer at Yango, Adeniyi Adebayo said Rwanda’s rapidly growing
digital economy makes it an attractive environment for exploring
technology-enabled mobility solutions.
He noted that the company
intends to work closely with regulators and industry stakeholders to ensure
that any future initiatives align with Rwanda’s national development priorities
and regulatory framework.

The collaboration also
reflects broader efforts to support local infrastructure development and
advance digital transformation initiatives aimed at creating more connected and
efficient urban systems.
The move comes as African
countries increasingly explore digital mobility and smart transportation
technologies to improve access, efficiency, and innovation within the transport
sector.
