The
Autorité de Régulation des Télécommunications/TIC de Côte d’Ivoire (ARTCI) has
taken part in the 2nd Francophone Forum on Digital Governance and Artificial
Intelligence, held under the auspices of the International Organisation of La
Francophonie (OIF).
The
Ivorian delegation, led by the Chairman of the Regulatory Council, Roger Adom,
included members of the Council, the Director General and several senior
directors of the regulatory authority.
The
forum brought together policymakers, regulators and international stakeholders
to discuss emerging frameworks for digital governance and artificial
intelligence, with a focus on ensuring that technological development aligns
with principles of trust, inclusivity and sustainable development.
ARTCI’s
participation reflects Côte d’Ivoire’s broader engagement in global policy
discussions on digital transformation and its commitment to strengthening
cooperation with Francophone institutions on regulatory best practices.
Officials
noted that the engagement provides an opportunity to exchange experiences with
other regulators and contribute to shaping international approaches to
artificial intelligence governance, particularly in areas such as data
protection, digital trust and responsible innovation.
The
authority reiterated its ambition to support the development of a secure and
inclusive digital ecosystem that promotes innovation while safeguarding users
and reinforcing confidence in digital services across Côte d’Ivoire.
