Authority, CEO John Paul Okwiri has showcased the progress of Konza Technopolis
at the Global Infrastructure Cooperation Conference (GICC) 2026 in Seoul, South
Korea, as Kenya seeks to strengthen international partnerships around smart
infrastructure and urban development.
Okwiri is participating in
the annual conference, which brings together government officials,
infrastructure project owners and industry leaders from around the world to
advance infrastructure cooperation, facilitate knowledge exchange and explore
partnerships with Korean companies.
During the conference,
Okwiri delivered a presentation on the infrastructure development of Konza
Technopolis, highlighting progress in delivering the enabling infrastructure
required to support the development of the smart city.
The presentation positioned
Konza Technopolis as a platform for technology, innovation, investment and
sustainable urban development, while highlighting its role in Kenya’s broader
smart infrastructure ambitions.
The conference is also
providing an opportunity for the Technopolis Development Authority to
strengthen international linkages and engage potential partners whose expertise
and investments could support the continued development of Konza Technopolis.
The GICC 2026 provides a
platform for participating countries and infrastructure stakeholders to
exchange experiences and explore areas of cooperation, particularly with Korean
companies involved in infrastructure development and technology.
