South Africa’s Solly Malatsi addresses Huawei AI Security Forum 2026 in Johannesburg

South Africa’s Minister of Communication and Digital Technologies, Solly Malatsi, has delivered an address at the Huawei AI Security Forum 2026 in Johannesburg, highlighting the importance of cybersecurity, responsible artificial intelligence adoption and building trust in digital technologies.

The forum brought together government and industry stakeholders to explore how innovation and stronger cybersecurity practices can support South Africa’s digital transformation.

“A smarter digital future must also be a safer one!” Government ZA said in a post about the event.
