MTN Mobile Money Limited is
strengthening its engagement with the Zambian Government to identify
opportunities to support the Grow Zambia Agenda Presidential Priorities,
following discussions with government institutions and an invitation to
participate in a Delivery Lab.
MTN MoMo, represented by
Manager of Strategic Partnerships Eugine Phiri, was invited to participate in
the Delivery Lab following a recent engagement with the Presidential Delivery
Unit Zambia (PDU) and the Public Private Dialogue Forum (PPDF Zambia). The
engagement recognised MoMo as a key partner in supporting the realisation of
the national priorities.
On the sidelines of the
meeting, PDU Head Kusobile Stewart Kamwambi updated Secretary to the Cabinet
Patrick Kangwa on the relationship with MTN MoMo.
MTN MoMo also outlined its
current projects and expressed its intention to support additional government
programmes where collaboration can contribute to the implementation of targeted
initiatives.
The Secretary to the Cabinet
subsequently invited MTN MoMo to engage further, with a view to accelerating
and facilitating the implementation of identified projects.
For MTN MoMo, the engagement
reflects the importance of government partnerships in supporting business
growth while exploring opportunities to contribute to Zambia’s broader
development agenda.
Through continued dialogue
with government institutions, MTN MoMo aims to identify practical opportunities
for partnership and support initiatives aligned with Zambia’s development
priorities.
