Algeria has opened
registration for the second edition of Global Africa Tech, scheduled for April
12–14, 2027, in Algiers, with a focus on attracting investment into the
infrastructure needed to support Africa’s artificial intelligence ambitions.
The summit will be hosted by
Algeria’s Ministry of Post and Telecommunications and Algérie Telecom under the
high patronage of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. It will take place at the
Abdelatif Rahal International Conference Centre in Algiers.
Announcing the opening of
registration, Algeria’s Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Sid Ali
Zerrouki, said the summit would bring together policymakers, investors,
financial institutions and technology leaders to advance investment in the
foundations of Africa’s AI economy.
The discussions will focus
on data centres, computing, energy, connectivity, cloud, cybersecurity and
skills, which are critical to developing the infrastructure required to expand
artificial intelligence across the continent.
“Africa’s AI ambitions need
infrastructure and infrastructure needs investment,” Zerrouki said.
The summit aims to connect
African projects with capital and technology partners to accelerate financing
and project delivery.
The second edition of Global
Africa Tech is expected to provide a platform for stakeholders to explore
investment opportunities and strengthen partnerships supporting the development
of Africa’s digital and AI infrastructure.
The event will run from
April 12 to 14, 2027, in Algiers, Algeria.
